This certainly isn't bad, but that doesn't make it good. It is perfectly serviceable and it does what it sets out to do, but there are no bells and whistles here. The characters are unlikable enough so that you don't feel bad when they get murdered. The antagonist is spooky, but the internal rules of the tension is too vague, and that means that it's difficult to build true horror from it. There are some interesting takes here, but it isn't enough to make it into a good movie. I don't think you'll have a bad time, but don't expect to be blown away by this.
