THE SECOND SEX is a film about a grandmother, a mother and a daughter – three humans and three generations from the post-war era up until today. The film explores how being a woman affect choices, ambitions and the relationships with others. A film where the woman protagonist is the universal human.



Katja Eyde Jacobsen got her degree from European Film College in Ebeltoft, FAMU in Czech Republic and The Norwegian Film School in Lillehammer. Her graduation film HERFRA TIL MÅNEN (2006) got nominated for the Amanda Awards and won a lot of international award titles. In 2009 she debuted as a feature film director with YATZY which won the Best Children and Youth Film Award at the film festival in Lübeck.
